NEEMO supervisor at the 5th Technical Meeting of BioSolWaRe-LIFE project

meeting

The meeting served to review the results of BioSol demo 1 and plan the future actions.

Last 10th January 2017, the 5th technical meeting of the BioSolWaRe-LIFE Project took place at CENTA facilities (Carrión de los Céspedes, Seville). This meeting counted with the presence of Laura Nocentini, Regional Coordinator for LIFE ENV at Neemo in France, who had the chance to review the technical and financial progress of the project. Representatives of all the BioSolWaRe-LIFE partners attended this meeting.

The meeting started with a summary of the results obtained at demo 1 located at CENTA which was presented by HPT and COLDEP. This review led to the identification of the strengths and weaknesses encountered in the deployment of the BioSolWaRe concept and those challenges to be faced at the second stage of this demonstrative action. Moreover, FCC-Aqualia presented the results obtained in the raceway units that are running in Grado (Asturias) and in CENTA (Seville), also in the frame of the LIFE-BioSolWaRe project. The operation of these two algae-based technologies in different environs (northern and southern Spanish conditions) will enhance the knowledge about these biological systems with promising results for the small populations (many of them without adequate wastewater treatment systems yet).

Later, CENTA team presented the updates related to the Communication Plan, including all the events where the results of BioSolWaRe-LIFE project have been disseminated.

The meeting concluded with a revision of the main highlights of the Mid Term Report and the revision of the financial management by Laura Nocentini.
